This 75 bedroom Lodge reflects the historical location of this site, close to Olduvai Gorge and takes cognizance of the early Engaruka settlements which nestled into the side of the Crater. Interior themes and decoration reflect the cave painting murals found in Tanzania utilize natural heavy timber beams and combine bright geometric African design fabrics with rustic style furniture and fittings. The Lodge is constructed from natural stone and timber blending into the side of the Crater and existing stream valley contours. From the base of the crater the building completely merges with the landscape and surrounding forest.
