This large development to be constructed in 5 phases provides a total of 4,774 units. The accommodation is packaged in a mix of self-contained maisonettes, clusters of 4-storey 8 unit apartment blocks and duuka maisonettes to tend to local shopping needs and offer self employment. The client, National Social Security Fund, intended that the project upon completion would provide a significant improvement in accommodation for the middle-class in Nairobi. Services required by a fully functional urban estate such as modern road networks, independent water supply, upgraded electricity supply and a connection to Nairobi’s existing sewer system are being provided across the entire site. In addition to an array of modern day communal facilities such as religious, shopping, medical facilities, nursery and primary schools have all been allotted special positions within the masterplan to ensure a vibrant and unified community.
